OKEANOS has developed the Made from Stone technology, which is an innovation in packaging materials, where its main compound is Calcium Carbonate.
Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3) is a naturally abundant mineral with a fraction of the CO2 of petrochemicals, making it a better option than virgin resin.
Unlike petroleum derivatives, Calcium Carbonate is renewable: while the Earth produces between 8 and 14 billion tons of CaCO3 per year, we currently only use 4.5 billion tons.
